Kraton Secures ISCC PLUS Certification for Taiwan Facility
Kraton Corporation, in partnership with Formosa Petrochemical Corp., has achieved another milestone in sustainability by obtaining ISCC PLUS certification for their HSBC joint venture plant in Mailiao, Taiwan. This marks Kraton’s third such certification, reinforcing its commitment to delivering innovative and eco-friendly polymer solutions.
As a pioneer in styrene block copolymers (SBC), Kraton continues to expand its global sustainability initiatives. The certification of the Mailiao facility extends the company’s reach beyond Europe and North America into the Asian market. This development enables the Taiwan plant to manufacture up to 100% ISCC PLUS-certified renewable SBC under Kraton’s CirKular+™ ReNew Series. By employing the mass balance approach, the facility utilizes ISCC PLUS-certified raw materials, including butadiene, styrene, and isoprene, to create sustainable solutions that reduce environmental impact.
