Commitment to Sustainability and Energy Conservation
The Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) Group has successfully achieved energy savings amounting to AED 395 million over the past decade, from 2014 to 2024. This milestone was reached through comprehensive Energy & Resource Management (E&RM) initiatives implemented across its operations. Alongside the financial savings, these efforts have also significantly contributed to environmental sustainability by preventing 703,840 metric tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions.
Reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility, ENOC Achieves AED and actively participated in Earth Hour 2025, a global initiative aimed at promoting energy conservation. The Group’s CEO, Saif Humaid Al Falasi, emphasized the importance of such initiatives, stating, “Earth Hour serves as a crucial reminder of the urgent need for collective action in addressing environmental challenges. ENOC remains committed to advancing sustainability initiatives and enhancing awareness regarding energy optimization both within the UAE and globally.”
Energy Efficiency Initiatives Yield Significant Results
ENOC’s substantial energy savings in 2024 were driven by targeted efficiency measures implemented across its business units. The ENOC Processing Company (EPCL) led these efforts by saving AED 2.3 million through various resource management strategies. The Retail division also played a vital role, introducing key projects such as integrating Solar PV LED lighting into Retail Operations Management and AutoPro service stations. This initiative alone resulted in savings of AED 3.1 million.
Additionally, ENOC’s Corporate Real Estate (CRE) and Emirates Gas divisions contributed to the overall energy reduction. CRE successfully saved AED 539,448, while Emirates Gas achieved savings of AED 139,409. These results reflect ENOC Achieves AED to embedding energy efficiency into its operations and reducing its carbon footprint.
